ELDA offers a permanent position for its Evaluation and Language Resource Sharing Department working in the framework of European projects.
Project Manager in NLP
He/she will be in charge of supervising the activities for two ongoing European projects in relation with Natural Language Processing technologies (information analysis and retrieval as well as production of multilingual corpora). The task will mostly consist in coordinating ELDA’s participation in these projects (planning, deliveries, meetings) while being also hands-on whenever required by the development team.
Profile :
PhD in computer science, cross-lingual information retrieval, computational linguistics, natural language processing or similar fields
Experience and/or good knowledge of the Language Technology area
Experience on Information Retrieval, Machine Translation and related areas is a plus
Experience in project management, including the management of European projects
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in particular the ability to supervise members of a multidisciplinary team
Dynamic and communicative, flexible to combine and work on different tasks and with initiave to take action when required
Proficiency in French and English

The Evaluations and Language resources Distribution Agency (ELDA) is ELRA’s (European Language Resources Association) operational body. ELDA identifies, collects, markets, validates and distributes language resources, and organises the evaluation of HLT, along with the dissemination of general information in the HLT field.
