In September 2005, as every year and to improve its services, ELDA (Evaluations and Language resources Distribution Agency) has conducted a survey on Language Resources needs.

Two open questions were asked :

  1. What type of Language Resources will you need within the next 12 months ?
  2. What type of Language Resources will you need within the next 12-36 months ?

A total of 50 replies out of 450 contacts (about 11%) were received by 31st December 2005.

From the various answers, we managed to draw up the following criteria

  1. Typological and Geographical distribution of respondents
  2. Types of Language Resources needed
  3. Languages needed

The final report is available to all ELRA members on the ELRA web site, in the Members’ Only section.
